Speaker A:What's up?
Speaker A:What's up?
Speaker A:Angelo Envoy here.
Speaker A:And I got my co host, Olga.
Speaker B:Last of the nerd girls.
Speaker A:Welcome to Pure Frequency's weekly recap.
Speaker A:In this weekly recap, we'll go over a couple things.
Speaker A:Some weekly inspirations and some Bible scriptures.
Speaker B:I'm excited.
Speaker A:I'm excited for that.
Speaker B:All right, let's get started.
Speaker A:Before we get into that, we want to say that thank you for coming onto our page.

Speaker A:So we got green all around us and we're wearing these really funny looking birds on our shirts and hats.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:What's going on, babe?
Speaker B:Well, it's the super bowl tomorrow.
Speaker A:It's the Super Bowl.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:I'm super excited.
Speaker A:What are you excited to see?
Speaker B:I'm excited to see the Eagles play, honestly.
Speaker B:And it's.
Speaker B:They're playing against the Kansas City Chiefs again.
Speaker B:So it's a rematch.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker B:And I'm excited for this.
Speaker B:This is like a redo.
Speaker B:And this time the Eagles are going to win.
Speaker A:They are.
Speaker A:I've already said it.
Speaker A:You have already said it.
Speaker A:I feel like they're going to win.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:You know, Jalen Hurts, A.J.
Speaker A:brown and Saquon.
Speaker A:How dare you mess that man's name up on black history.
Speaker B:But I know I said it earlier today.
Speaker A:Yo, Wild and wild.
Speaker A:Okay, so, guys, according to the Pew Research center, less than 50% of our youth are actively involved in a faith based volunteer ministry.
Speaker B:Huh?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Did you know that?
Speaker B:No, I didn't know that.
Speaker A:Yeah, this is a real thing.
Speaker A:We're kind of lacking in this area and I think it's a big problem because it's a faith challenge.
Speaker A:How do we get over this challenge?
Speaker A:Well, one, I believe that we have so many different churches, so many different flavors, so many different styles, but everyone's only teaching one way of doing things.
Speaker A:Hey, your way is not the real way because it has to be done by power.
Speaker A:No, your way is not the right way because it has to be done by speech.
Speaker A:And your way is not the right way because it's not speech or power.
Speaker A:It's the Holy Spirit and so forth and so on.
Speaker A:And for me, I take a look at this and I.
Speaker A:I want to make a good, clear understanding of it and I want you to understand the answer to this problem.
Speaker A:Everyone's right.
Speaker B:What do you mean?
Speaker A:Yeah, everyone's right.
Speaker A:The way that you evangelize through the Holy Spirit, according to the scriptures.
Speaker B:Right is right.
Speaker A:People did publicly speak, but the majority of the first century believers evangelized in the homes.
Speaker B:Oh, snap.
Speaker A:They would get invited by people.
Speaker A:They would, you know, have church and homes.
Speaker A:They would gather, they would bring other family members.
Speaker A:Probably there were Jewish believers that brought Jews to their homes, family members, so they can hear the message of the true Messiah.
Speaker B:Oh, wow.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:It was a lot safer because, you know, it was a little bit hard for us Christians in that time.
Speaker A:And it's a little bit easier now.
Speaker A:Now we can do that.
Speaker A:And that's okay to do that.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:But it's also okay to do it in your homes.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Invite people to your homes, make meals for them.
Speaker A:Show them exactly what love is through the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus.
Speaker A:Do that by inviting them into your space.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's share.
Speaker B:Yeah, share.
Speaker B:I was going to say share.
Speaker B:Coffee.
Speaker B:Share.
Speaker B:Cookies.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:So how do you evangelize sharing coffee and cookies?
Speaker B:No, I just asking for.
Speaker B:If anybody needs prayer, it'll be at work.
Speaker B:It'll be somebody at the grocery store, and I'll just.
Speaker B:Hey, Might sound weird.
Speaker B:You can say no, but can I pray for you?
Speaker A:It's amazing.
Speaker B:Yeah, 95% of the time.
Speaker B:Yeah, you can pray for me.
Speaker A:Is that a really good way for opening up to the gospel?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:It does kind of like knock the walls down.
Speaker A:It's a really good icebreaker.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:Because then, then they start talking like, well, you know, why'd you come up to me and, you know, tell me more.
Speaker B:What church do you go to?
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:That's amazing.
Speaker A:So when we are leaders of a church, when we are older members of a church and we're speaking to our youth, we want to make sure that we cultivate the things that they have inside them that we know as gifts from God.
Speaker A:And we want to make sure that we push those things up.
Speaker A:We want to make them rise to the occasion so that way they can be their true, authentic self.
Speaker A:I'm not saying going with a script is wrong.
Speaker A:No, that's right.
Speaker A:It's a part of that.
Speaker A:And too, what I was just speaking about, what I'm speaking about is all the things are right.
Speaker A:We just have to, as leaders, find out what is the niche for each individual and help cultivate it so it can grow into a healthier, healthier spiritual person.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:That's what we got to do.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Because we're all part of the body of Christ.
Speaker A:So we have this less than 50%.
Speaker A:We have this problem that I believe is a problem.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:It's not enough unity, and there's not enough understanding of what to do when evangelism and that all styles of evangelism are working for the kingdom.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:I think that the answer to the problem, again, is cultivating your youth and building their strengths.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And the pressure of the strength building will sharpen their iron enough to sharpen their weaknesses.
Speaker A:Oh, I really believe that.
Speaker B:I like that.
Speaker A:And speaking of iron, sharpening's iron, we got a really good interview with Jamie Schaefer.
Speaker B:Yes, we did.
Speaker A:If you guys didn't catch that, we did an interview with the creator of the Wren.
Speaker A:Now, the Wren is a collaborative community of believers that are learning how to build in the art spaces.
Speaker A:This is a great conversation.
Speaker A:If you guys missed out, you could just go into our channels.
Speaker A:It should be on this side, I think.
Speaker A:Or is it on that side?
Speaker A:It's somewhere.
Speaker A:Check it out on our page and enjoy.
Speaker A:So, babe, you got some scriptures for us today?
Speaker B:I do.
Speaker B:I do have a scripture for us for you guys today.
Speaker B:It comes from James 1:17.
Speaker A:That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Let's get it.
Speaker A:But you got your little book.
Speaker B:I got in my little book.
Speaker A:Let me see that little book.
Speaker A:Where'd you get that book from?
Speaker B:From Michael's.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Love you some Michaels.
Speaker B:I do.
Speaker B:Love me some Michaels.
Speaker A:Who loves Michael?
Speaker A:Shout out to Michaels.
Speaker A:Put them in the comments.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:From James 1:17.
Speaker B:Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting to shadows.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:He doesn't change, no.
Speaker A:He does not repent, no.
Speaker A:He doesn't change his mind, no.
Speaker B:He is that firm foundation, that constant in our life that always holds us, always talks to us, always makes a way for us.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And praise God for that.
Speaker A:I would be lost without him.
Speaker B:As would I.
Speaker B:As would I.
Speaker A:And with him, I have joy.
Speaker A:This is my joy cup.
Speaker A:I got some peach tea in here.
Speaker A:It's really good.
Speaker B:Yeah, I like the peach tea.
Speaker A:So speaking of tea, my father loves tea.
Speaker B:Yes, he does.
Speaker A:And my father is pretty awesome, man.
Speaker A:And he did something really amazing.
Speaker A:Not only did it involve the community around us speaking about building community.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:But it also is the right time.
Speaker A:Coming out in Black History Month, we have blackboards and barriers, and it's about the colored school and the integration of black men and women to go to the public schools that the whites went to.
Speaker B:Oh, wow.
Speaker A:It's about the changes.
Speaker A:It's about what they learned there.
Speaker A:And Elkton, Maryland, actually.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So it's amazing.
Speaker A:I'm gonna have the link down there in the description.
Speaker A:You just check it out, man.
Speaker A:Check out that trailer.
Speaker A:He's going to have a viewing of it on the 20th.
Speaker A:I think that's February and 20th on a Thursday.
Speaker B:Oh, nice.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So check it out.
Speaker A:We're also going to have in the description a link to the tickets for the rent at the barn that Jamie Schaefer gave.
Speaker A:That wonderful, wonderful masterclass, too.
Speaker A:And, yeah, we're going to be interviewing Joseph Piner.
Speaker A:That's my father.
Speaker A:We're going to be interviewing him on that documentary soon.
Speaker A:It's going to be amazing.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:So be on the lookout for that.
Speaker A:What else have we got, honey?
Speaker B:Well, I know we are gearing up for Bible studies and we are gearing up for more interviews, so be prepared for that.
Speaker A:Yeah, we got a Bible study coming up on, and I think we're still going to be on the parable of the Sower.
Speaker B:Oh, nice.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:So we'll have a zoom link next week up.
Speaker A:Usually we drop Sundays and Thursdays, but we'll have some shorts here and there.
Speaker A:Pay attention to the shorts because you'll get some updates through that.
Speaker B:Nice.
Speaker B:I'm excited.
Speaker B:I'm actually really excited about the parable.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:It's a great thing.
Speaker A:So, listen, we're gonna keep this short and simple.
Speaker A:We're gonna tell you, God bless you and we love you.
Speaker A:Thank you for listening to our update.
Speaker A:So let's end this thing in some prayer.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:So, Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much.
Speaker A:We thank you for all the loves that you' given.
Speaker A:We thank you for all the opportunities, Lord God, that you give us to be more like you.
Speaker A:And we thank you for the grace that you give us, Lord, when we're not like you, God, we ask that you just give us every day the necessities that we need to not only survive but to thrive, Lord God, spiritually and physically.
Speaker A:And we ask, Lord God, that you take away anything that is not of you.
Speaker A:Forgive us of our sins that we committed to you and to others.
Speaker A:And, Lord, we forgive anyone that did any wrong to us.
Speaker A:Lord God, you are the king of the universe.
Speaker A:Your throne is above every other.
Speaker A:You are the highest.
Speaker A:And we put our faith and our trust in you because you are.
Speaker A:We thank you so much.
Speaker A:We pray for healing to those watching who are in need of healing.
Speaker A:We pray for sustenance of those who are in need as well.
Speaker A:Keep an eye on our country.
Speaker A:Keep an eye on those who are suffering in other countries.
Speaker A:And safeguard Lord God, the people who really need it here.
Speaker A:Safeguard your children.
Speaker A:In Jesus name we pray.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Hey, listen.
Speaker A:God bless y'all.
Speaker A:We thank you.
Speaker A:Peace out.
Speaker B:Bye.
