What's up, y'all?
Angelo Envoy:Angelo Envoy here and I wanted to continue to talk that we actually been having at church.
Angelo Envoy:And actually I gave up like a 10 minute testimony about this, you know, outlining some of the things that I went through in my bitterness.
Angelo Envoy:So I wanted to talk to you about that.
Angelo Envoy:Number one, setting false and unrealistic expectations is a setup, okay?
Angelo Envoy:It's a setup for you to fail.
Angelo Envoy:So you always have to be watchful, you always have to be mindful for the enemy as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, right?
Angelo Envoy:You gotta really think about the tactics that the enemy uses to devour you.
Angelo Envoy:The enemy's plan is to steal, kill and destroy.
Angelo Envoy:He wants to steal your joy.
Angelo Envoy:He wants to spiritually kill you.
Angelo Envoy:And he wants to wants you to be destroyed in a lake of fire with him.
Angelo Envoy:He wants you to be destroyed in the pits of hell.
Angelo Envoy:Now, Satan isn't the ruler of hell.
Angelo Envoy:Remember, Hell is made for him and his angels.
Angelo Envoy:People that go there are disobedient to the Lord.
Angelo Envoy:They are people who are unrepentant and they are rebellious against God.
Angelo Envoy:How are you rebellious against God?
Angelo Envoy:What makes you fall under attack of devouring?
Angelo Envoy:What makes you fall under that guideline?
Angelo Envoy:Well, that is bitterness, right?
Angelo Envoy:Having a resentment, having an unforgiveness towards someone puts you in place to be full, full of perverseness, full of unrighteousness, and full of all manners of hatred.
Angelo Envoy:When you're in bitterness, you can only produce the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.
Angelo Envoy:When you're in the flesh, literally, you're producing very bad fruit.
Angelo Envoy:That is pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and slothfulness.
Angelo Envoy:Bitterness controls all those things.
Angelo Envoy:I mean, they call them the seven deadly sins, right?
Angelo Envoy:But this is what the fruit of bitterness is.
Angelo Envoy:This is something that is going to literally lead in those who are under that grasp of unforgiveness and unrepentance and bitterness.
Angelo Envoy:And it's going to further their sin.
Angelo Envoy:It's going to further their rebellion against God.
Angelo Envoy:And it's so interesting because a lot of us Christians are under this and think that we are living a godly life.
Angelo Envoy:It's so crazy.
Angelo Envoy:Like, I took my wife to a peddler's village in Pennsylvania.
Angelo Envoy:I think it's in Bucks county or something, for her birthday.
Angelo Envoy:And then we ended the celebration.
Angelo Envoy:We're going to Shady Maples.
Angelo Envoy:It's like a really cool, all you can eat buffet.
Angelo Envoy:It's pretty, like famous and, you know, a lot of people go there because it's supposed to be really good.
Angelo Envoy:So this was both of our first times going there.
Angelo Envoy:Or I think my wife's been there before, however, I have not.
Angelo Envoy:So we go in there, right?
Angelo Envoy:We have a good meal, we get our grub on, you know, and then I'm waiting for my wife and my daughter, and I'm sitting down and this lady comes to me because she sees my shirt and I think my shirt said, you know, trusting God.
Angelo Envoy:And she's like, oh, you're a Christian?
Angelo Envoy:And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I follow the Lord.
Angelo Envoy:Yeah.
Angelo Envoy:She was like, oh, yeah, that's good.
Angelo Envoy:Do you know about what Jesus did for you?
Angelo Envoy:And I was like, yeah, that kind of.
Angelo Envoy:Yeah, yeah.
Angelo Envoy:So, you know, instead of like, really kind of being like, yeah, I'm a Christian, duh.
Angelo Envoy:I was like, you know what?
Angelo Envoy:I'm going to take this opportunity to encourage her by letting her share with me because it gives me great joy to allow people who are either newly converted or just.
Angelo Envoy:Or just love sharing the gospel to share it.
Angelo Envoy:And then I would encourage her to share it with someone who has not heard.
Angelo Envoy:So that way it would be a nice give and take there.
Angelo Envoy:So I listened to her and I was like, yeah.
Angelo Envoy:And then I was like, that's amazing.
Angelo Envoy:I believe in all of that.
Angelo Envoy:And I wanted to share something with her.
Angelo Envoy:So I wanted to share with her a vision that I had of the Lord's coming.
Angelo Envoy:And I wanted to share with her what he has told me.
Angelo Envoy:And it was so interesting.
Angelo Envoy:And she cut me off, was just like, no, no, you're not a Christian.
Angelo Envoy:Da, da, da, da da.
Angelo Envoy:And she's.
Angelo Envoy:And I was in shock.
Angelo Envoy:She literally just walks away.
Angelo Envoy:And I was like, wow, you know what that told me is this.
Angelo Envoy:It told me she had no love.
Angelo Envoy:It told me that she had a form of godliness but denied the power thereof.
Angelo Envoy:What is the.
Angelo Envoy:What power are we denying when it.
Angelo Envoy:When it's talking about what the power is?
Angelo Envoy:What, What.
Angelo Envoy:What is that power?
Angelo Envoy:And that power is love.
Angelo Envoy:That's the power.
Angelo Envoy:Love.
Angelo Envoy:The power of absolving someone, forgiving someone, and being gentle with someone.
Angelo Envoy:That's the power.
Angelo Envoy:Your fruit.
Angelo Envoy:Really, really digging deep into this fruit idea.
Angelo Envoy:I've been talking about it in a few videos because it is so prevalent.
Angelo Envoy:It is one of the messages of the gospel.
Angelo Envoy:This is how you know you are sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Angelo Envoy:Because you know these are one of the signs.
Angelo Envoy:You shall know them by your fruit.
Angelo Envoy:What is a sign but something pointing to something, right?
Angelo Envoy:And the fruit of the Spirit is a sign pointing to you being a person of the way, a follower of Christ, a Christian.
Angelo Envoy:Without it, you're just like everyone else in the world.
Angelo Envoy:Okay?
Angelo Envoy:So we have pride, greed, lust.
Angelo Envoy:We have envy, gluttony, wrath and slothfulness, okay?
Angelo Envoy:Being in bitterness.
Angelo Envoy:What I've seen for myself was pride.
Angelo Envoy:I had an excessive view of myself.
Angelo Envoy:So everything was eye centered.
Angelo Envoy:You know, someone offended me, right?
Angelo Envoy:I got offended.
Angelo Envoy:And instead of forgiving that offense, I got upset because how dare they make me feel this way?
Angelo Envoy:Because I am, I am, I am, I'm not.
Angelo Envoy:And actually I don't, you know, I don't deserve anything.
Angelo Envoy:If you really think about it, I deserve the pit of hell, man.
Angelo Envoy:I deserve nothing.
Angelo Envoy:I should be grateful in every situation and all things give thanks.
Angelo Envoy:But I wasn't given thanks.
Angelo Envoy:I didn't even take my complaints to God.
Angelo Envoy:So rather like doing like Job, right?
Angelo Envoy:Job took his complaints to the Lord.
Angelo Envoy:So Job, in an interesting twist here, and I'll show you two different sides.
Angelo Envoy:So Job, he can complain to God, right?
Angelo Envoy:So he literally was like, you know, I'm not letting up.
Angelo Envoy:I'm standing my ground and my complaint is legitimate.
Angelo Envoy:That was Job's stance.
Angelo Envoy:But he was complaining to God.
Angelo Envoy:He wasn't going to complain to others, right?
Angelo Envoy:He wasn't complaining to everybody else, but he complained to God.
Angelo Envoy:And God's position was by showing him like the behemoth and the lion, Leviathan.
Angelo Envoy:And God's description of these monsters was like showing them that he was in control, right?
Angelo Envoy:And by doing so, Job's response was immediately to drop his complaints and repent, right?
Angelo Envoy:And it wasn't really immediately, but I guess if you're reading it from our point of view, it is immediate because it's just like, you know, a couple scriptures, but you know, it, I'm pretty sure with some time, right?
Angelo Envoy:But he took it to God, you know, he didn't curse God.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't, you know, but he complained to him.
Angelo Envoy:He took his complaints to the Lord, right?
Angelo Envoy:Prayer, supplication unto the Lord.
Angelo Envoy:He prayed and he told God why he thought he was lacking.
Angelo Envoy:Now he also kind of posed some things that I would say not to do.
Angelo Envoy:However, in our human emotions, we tend to miss the mark sometimes.
Angelo Envoy:So those things happen and God is forgiving.
Angelo Envoy:However, our aim is not to complain to God, to tell him that he is a tyrant or this, that and the other.
Angelo Envoy:Our goal is to cast our cares upon him because he cared for us first.
Angelo Envoy:That's our goal.
Angelo Envoy:Our Goal is to care.
Angelo Envoy:To cast our care to the Lord right, and not to others.
Angelo Envoy:So that's the first thing.
Angelo Envoy:Okay.
Angelo Envoy:You know, my example is I didn't do that.
Angelo Envoy:So when people were making me bitter and making me upset, I didn't do that.
Angelo Envoy:I talked to everyone else.
Angelo Envoy:I'm on the phone with everybody else, and, man, I can't believe they did this to me.
Angelo Envoy:I can't believe that.
Angelo Envoy:Me, me, me, I, I, I.
Angelo Envoy:You know, the pride, the pride was so, like, relevant, you know?
Angelo Envoy:And it's crazy because I was on a hunt all at the same time.
Angelo Envoy:And the reason why this happened is it was a financial situation, right?
Angelo Envoy:So I had a position that was giving me money, and something happened within the group where it just didn't work out and that had to be moved and I wasn't able to do it anymore.
Angelo Envoy:So that was going to take, you know, money away from me, my family, and greed.
Angelo Envoy:So the pride came, the greed hit because I was in a pursuit of, like, material goods, that is a new apartment, a new place, a new this, a new that.
Angelo Envoy:I was seeking everything else but the kingdom of God, which led to me feel feeling depressed and down.
Angelo Envoy:And my number one comfort is lust.
Angelo Envoy:So it's, it's so crazy because it produced me running to comforts, which was choreography.
Angelo Envoy:Let's be honest here.
Angelo Envoy:I'm going to say it that way.
Angelo Envoy:Just because of multiple platforms, they.
Angelo Envoy:Listen, I, I don't make the rules.
Angelo Envoy:People are too sensitive, if you ask me.
Angelo Envoy:But it's okay.
Angelo Envoy:We're going to move on.
Angelo Envoy:Pornography.
Angelo Envoy:Pornography.
Angelo Envoy:Oops.
Angelo Envoy:But I desired for sexual pleasure, you know, And I would have to continually, you know, and continually meaning, like, almost like on a daily basis, you know?
Angelo Envoy:And then every once in a while, when I feel really convicted, I would just repent.
Angelo Envoy:And to my wife, where I would not repent, I would ask for forgiveness, you know, and then somebody else was getting the position, right?
Angelo Envoy:So I felt envious.
Angelo Envoy:I had a negative feeling of resentment towards people who were blessing someone else because that was supposed to be me.
Angelo Envoy:Does this sound familiar?
Angelo Envoy:The bitterness is producing the fruit of the flesh, right?
Angelo Envoy:It's what it did.
Angelo Envoy:And then wrath.
Angelo Envoy:I was angry and I became angry.
Angelo Envoy:I had a strong hatred and anger towards certain people for the way that they mistreated me, right?
Angelo Envoy:Because in my reality, in my perception, they mistreated me.
Angelo Envoy:However, in the actual reality, they weren't.
Angelo Envoy:They just were stating some truths and I was getting offended by their truths.
Angelo Envoy:That's.
Angelo Envoy:That's la la land thinking Anyway, I was getting depressed.
Angelo Envoy:I became super lazy.
Angelo Envoy:You know, it produces the fruits of the flesh, which those, I believe, are the fruits of this.
Angelo Envoy:Of the flesh.
Angelo Envoy:I'm pretty sure that that's the fruits of the flesh.
Angelo Envoy:I could be wrong.
Angelo Envoy:There might be more in there.
Angelo Envoy:You know, any one of you guys can fact check and kind of bring it up and do your thing.
Angelo Envoy:But yeah, man, you know, so here we see a picture.
Angelo Envoy:I think it's Acts 8 and 23 of Simon the Sorcerer.
Angelo Envoy:Right?
Angelo Envoy:The Sorcerer Simon.
Angelo Envoy:Where.
Angelo Envoy:You know, this is right when everyone was having.
Angelo Envoy:It was like a revival.
Angelo Envoy:They were having revival.
Angelo Envoy:The Holy Spirit fell on everyone.
Angelo Envoy:And, you know, the apostles were doing such great miraculous things through the power of the Holy Spirit, through Christ Jesus the Father, that he thought.
Angelo Envoy:This man thought that he could say.
Angelo Envoy:And pull up on him and say, hey, yo, look, I got this bread.
Angelo Envoy:Let me holla at you real quick.
Angelo Envoy:Let me get some of them powers that y'all got here.
Angelo Envoy:I'll give you this money, man, because I want to.
Angelo Envoy:I want to be known, too.
Angelo Envoy:Okay?
Angelo Envoy:So we see everything in this, right?
Angelo Envoy:And the wisdom of the Holy Spirit imparted unto Peter made him tell Simon, for I see that you are full of bitterness and captured to sin.
Angelo Envoy:Like, he seen that he was envious of the power of the.
Angelo Envoy:That that the apostles had.
Angelo Envoy:And he seen, you know, just like him, I seen that someone got promoted, and I immediately reacted with envy because I desired, and I thought that I deserved it.
Angelo Envoy:Okay.
Angelo Envoy:It's crazy.
Angelo Envoy:Yeah.
Angelo Envoy:That's a really crazy way of.
Angelo Envoy:Of being.
Angelo Envoy:And it really is.
Angelo Envoy:It really is hard.
Angelo Envoy:It really is hard.
Angelo Envoy:It really is hard because in that we find that we get rejected, in that we are so bitter, right.
Angelo Envoy:That we become a sour taste to everyone around us.
Angelo Envoy:People don't even want to be around us when we're like this.
Angelo Envoy:And be honest with you, like, if you're like this, if you are experiencing this in your life, repent.
Angelo Envoy:Literally, stop what you're doing, fall to your knees and repent.
Angelo Envoy:Literally, turn away from it.
Angelo Envoy:You need to call these people and tell them that you're feeling this way, and you apologize.
Angelo Envoy:I don't care how crazy it sounds.
Angelo Envoy:Listen to me.
Angelo Envoy:I don't care how crazy it sounds.
Angelo Envoy:This is what you need to do.
Angelo Envoy:You need to call them and say, hey, listen, I've held this position against you, and I am sorry.
Angelo Envoy:I want to apologize to you.
Angelo Envoy:Humble yourself.
Angelo Envoy:It's gonna feel.
Angelo Envoy:It's gonna feel amazing.
Angelo Envoy:Yeah.
Angelo Envoy:You thought I was gonna say terrible?
Angelo Envoy:No, the thought of it before you do it, that's what's gonna feel terrible because the enemy doesn't want you to do it.
Angelo Envoy:So your flesh is gonna work against the spirit.
Angelo Envoy:Your flesh is literally gonna work against it.
Angelo Envoy:And it's gonna make you feel these things that.
Angelo Envoy:That you shouldn't feel.
Angelo Envoy:Well, but do it, because after you do, I'm telling you, tears are going to flow.
Angelo Envoy:You're going to feel amazing.
Angelo Envoy:Take my word for it.
Angelo Envoy:And if you don't take my word for it, take what the Bible says for it.
Angelo Envoy:Take what the Bible says for it.
Angelo Envoy:Yo, listen, man.
Angelo Envoy:So Esau sold his birthright, right?
Angelo Envoy:He sold his birthright, okay, for some food.
Angelo Envoy:He was so hungry.
Angelo Envoy:Hey, yo, Jacob was wilding, though.
Angelo Envoy:He was wild, yo.
Angelo Envoy:He used a lot of deceit.
Angelo Envoy:And.
Angelo Envoy:Hey, listen.
Angelo Envoy:But he loved God, though.
Angelo Envoy:So listen, that's what I'm saying.
Angelo Envoy:Like, man, look, God blesses who he blesses, and he blessed Jacob.
Angelo Envoy:God bless Jacob, right?
Angelo Envoy:He's blessed.
Angelo Envoy:God will bless anyone who blesses him, and God will curse anyone who curses.
Angelo Envoy:Remember, that's a.
Angelo Envoy:That's a covenant there that was made.
Angelo Envoy:So, anywho, so Esau wanted to get his birthright back.
Angelo Envoy:He goes, well, Jacob goes to the tent, right?
Angelo Envoy:And he talks to his pops and he brings him the meat that he thought he didn't know.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't know that that wasn't Jacob.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't know.
Angelo Envoy:So what.
Angelo Envoy:What.
Angelo Envoy:What ended up taking place?
Angelo Envoy:What end up taking place is.
Angelo Envoy:Is that he literally sat there and pretended to be him.
Angelo Envoy:And then he blessed him.
Angelo Envoy:He gave him his blessing, gave him all his fields, his workers, everything.
Angelo Envoy:Because he had a lot of, you know, he had a lot going on.
Angelo Envoy:He gave it to him.
Angelo Envoy:Then he was blessed.
Angelo Envoy:And Esau comes in.
Angelo Envoy:He's like, all right, I brought.
Angelo Envoy:I brought the best meat.
Angelo Envoy:I'm ready to get my bless on.
Angelo Envoy:Hey, what's up, pops?
Angelo Envoy:How you doing?
Angelo Envoy:He like who?
Angelo Envoy:You?
Angelo Envoy:You know, because he wasn't in a good stage in life for him.
Angelo Envoy:So, you know what's going on.
Angelo Envoy:He's like, what you mean?
Angelo Envoy:Who's me?
Angelo Envoy:Like, man, I'm here for my blessing.
Angelo Envoy:He's like, man, I already blessed.
Angelo Envoy:I already gave the blessing up.
Angelo Envoy:He's like, whoa.
Angelo Envoy:Immediately, I can understand how, you know, the pain hits.
Angelo Envoy:It's felt.
Angelo Envoy:It's like, dang.
Angelo Envoy:He's like, nah, actually, I already gave it to your brother.
Angelo Envoy:And quite frankly, you're going to be working for your brother.
Angelo Envoy:So, you know, I can't take that Back.
Angelo Envoy:That's law.
Angelo Envoy:I can't take that back now, okay?
Angelo Envoy:And, man, the bitterness, the rage, the everything that was filled within him, I'm pretty sure.
Angelo Envoy:I'm pretty sure, man, he had, you know, in those moments, we can look at that and be like, yeah, you know what?
Angelo Envoy:From a worldly standpoint, I understand.
Angelo Envoy:I understand that that reality hit and it was like, yo, my brother usurped me and that's wallet.
Angelo Envoy:However God blessed him.
Angelo Envoy:It happened.
Angelo Envoy:God allowed it to happen.
Angelo Envoy:So why.
Angelo Envoy:That's the most important thing.
Angelo Envoy:You gotta go to him.
Angelo Envoy:That's when Esau should have went to God.
Angelo Envoy:He should have fell to his face on a God and continued and continued and continued till God gave him the answer, which he always will do.
Angelo Envoy:However, in Hebrews 12, 15, I like the way that they put it, you know.
Angelo Envoy:So one of the main factors is that he was also full of bitterness because he was repentant.
Angelo Envoy:It said that God rejected him, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
Angelo Envoy:Esau sought repentance diligently with tears.
Angelo Envoy:Right?
Angelo Envoy:He did.
Angelo Envoy:But you know, we got to really figure out the reason why.
Angelo Envoy:Intentionality.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't want to change his mind.
Angelo Envoy:He just wanted to be.
Angelo Envoy:He just wanted to have his blessing.
Angelo Envoy:That's it.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't want to be under.
Angelo Envoy:He wanted to be over.
Angelo Envoy:That's why he was unrepentant.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't really care.
Angelo Envoy:He just wanted what he wanted.
Angelo Envoy:Okay?
Angelo Envoy:So he saw it with tears.
Angelo Envoy:He saw a change of mind.
Angelo Envoy:Because repent means to change your mind, right?
Angelo Envoy:About something, change your position about something.
Angelo Envoy:So he wanted them to change their position about him.
Angelo Envoy:He didn't really want to repent.
Angelo Envoy:And that's the thing.
Angelo Envoy:That's what unrepentance leads to.
Angelo Envoy:The fruit of the flesh.
Angelo Envoy:So listen, I urge you guys right now that if you are living a life of bitterness, if you are living a life of fleshly fruit, turn to Jesus.
Angelo Envoy:Your immediate thing to do at this very moment.
Angelo Envoy:1.
Angelo Envoy:Repent.
Angelo Envoy:Repent.
Angelo Envoy:Okay, 2.
Angelo Envoy:2.
Angelo Envoy:Seek the kingdom of God.
Angelo Envoy:How do you seek the kingdom of God?
Angelo Envoy:You follow the commands of Christ.
Angelo Envoy:What are the commands of Christ?
Angelo Envoy:Love God.
Angelo Envoy:Love your neighbor.
Angelo Envoy:On all these.
Angelo Envoy:On this statement hangs all the laws and the prophets.
Angelo Envoy:Okay?
Angelo Envoy:It's very important for you.
Angelo Envoy:Lastly, apologize.
Angelo Envoy:Seek forgiveness from those.
Angelo Envoy:This is a two part thing that you are doing.
Angelo Envoy:What you are doing is not only freeing yourself, but you're freeing the other person.
Angelo Envoy:You are literally taking a lineage of repentance and Passing it over to the other person because maybe they might be facing it, maybe they be.
Angelo Envoy:They'll be inspired to do the same thing, light someone's candle.
Angelo Envoy:You know, that's what Jesus said to me when he came to me.
Angelo Envoy:He said, I'm coming, light the candles.
Angelo Envoy:We are all charged to give to another, give to another, love one another.
Angelo Envoy:This is the message, this is the way and you could get this done today.
Angelo Envoy:So I'm going to pray for you.
Angelo Envoy:So, Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much.
Angelo Envoy:We thank you for everything that you've given us.
Angelo Envoy:We thank you for everything that you bless us with, Father, King of the universe, maker of all, creator that is in awe.
Angelo Envoy:We thank you for our situations right now, Lord God, wherever you have us at in life, we just thank you, Lord.
Angelo Envoy:We are blessed, we are alive.
Angelo Envoy:We ask that you just watch over us, Lord, and guide our footsteps to come closer to you, to come closer to your kingdom, to come closer to your spirit, Lord.
Angelo Envoy:Guide us on our path, Lord, and help us to not be led astray, Lord.
Angelo Envoy:But deliver us, Lord God, from the evil one.
Angelo Envoy:Deliver us, Lord God, from the bitterness.
Angelo Envoy:Deliver us, Lord God, from the fruits of the flesh, Lord, I pray that you bless our storehouses.
Angelo Envoy:I pray.
Angelo Envoy:I pray that you bless our refrigerators and cabinets to be filled, Lord God, to be able to give sustenance to our families.
Angelo Envoy:But I take it a step further, Lord God, and I just ask you, Heavenly Father, to just bless us.
Angelo Envoy:Spiritual sustenance, Lord God, a continual hunger, Lord God, for your word, for your righteousness, oh God, if we are holding any bitterness, holding anything against anyone, Lord God, we forgive them right now, Lord.
Angelo Envoy:We forgive them right now.
Angelo Envoy:Oh, we forgive them, Lord.
Angelo Envoy:And we ask you to forgive us our trespasses against you, Lord God, for the times that we missed a mark against you, Lord God, Lord God, we just bless you so much.
Angelo Envoy:Yours is the kingdom, Lord God.
Angelo Envoy:Yours is the power and yours is the glory forever and ever.
Angelo Envoy:Amen.
Angelo Envoy:It feels so good to let go, continue letting go and let God.
Angelo Envoy:God bless you guys.
Angelo Envoy:You guys stay safe and be well and have a beautiful holiday season until next time.
Angelo Envoy:Peace.
